Man Down
Today while walking his dog a man tripped and fell. Though he was not seriously hurt his pride took a real hit. Friends and neighbors gathered and one laughed as he picked himself up and yelled at the dog. The man blamed the dog for the fall but clearly he was mistaken.
UPDATE—
Days later, after a careful investigation, the man discovered the reason for the fall. The man fell because of a frayed shoe lace that had previously given him trouble. He apologized to his dog and immediately drove to the store to buy a new pair of laces. Seeing that only one was currently frayed, he made the decision to only replace the one that caused the fall. The other lace was placed in a safe place and will be used at a later date (when needed). Though the laces were fairly expensive the man felt they were worth it.
UPDATE–
After three days of use, the man reports he is still happy with his new laces.
